Tucson Masterworks Chorale performs “The Seasons” by Joseph Haydn
April 19 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm$5 – $20
Tucson Masterworks Chorale will perform “The Seasons” by Joseph Haydn, with full orchestra and soloists, on April 19, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 7575 N. Paseo del Norte. Though lesser known than its sacred partner “The Creation,” “The Seasons” contains everything audiences love of Haydn’s later works: an extended orchestra, large chorus, and vivid imagery. The piece goes through daily life and work in Haydn’s time from peasant characters, praising the land for its life-giving abundance. Tucson Masterworks Chorale, under the direction of Artistic Director Angelica Dunsavage, will feature vocal soloists Erika Burkhart, Seth Kershisnik and Mitchell Sturges and orchestra members from the Tucson Symphony Orchestra and Fred Fox School of Music.
Tickets are $20 at the door, $18 in advance, $5 always for students. www.tucsonmasterworkschorale.org or by phone at 520-403-5630.
Founded in 1949, this is Tucson Masterworks Chorale’s 70th season.
