The Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (THCC) will host the first ever Mayors’ Summit on May 19, 2022. THCC will welcome eight mayors from across southern Arizona and Sonora at the Tucson Convention Center Music Hall.
This event will focus on a myriad of topics that may include economic development, sustainability, infrastructure, trade, and tourism. This ticketed event will begin at 2:30pm and will end at 4:30 followed by a reception in Eckbo Plaza. The Mayors’ Summit is open to the public and your tickets can be purchased starting today at TucsonHispanicChamber.org.
Rob Elias, President/CEO says, “Conversations amongst these leaders are vital to the region. They have the ability to cultivate more meaningful relationships that can create greater opportunities in so many areas including economic growth, increased trade opportunities, increased levels of tourism, and an overall better understanding of how our relationship affects each other.”
The purpose of this event is two-fold; 1. to provide a platform for Mayors of the Sonoran Desert region to collectively share and discuss their perspectives on the challenges we face as inhabitants as well as the areas of opportunities to create a brighter future and 2. to provide an opportunity for each city/town to share economic development information with the intent of spurring business growth in and amongst their area.
