Light Rail, Heavy Economic Impact
Let’s get down to business! That’s part of the theme for this issue, focusing on one of the Old Pueblo’s newest modes of transportation, which by some estimates has spurred north of a billion dollars in economic development.
Though the modern streetcar was launched with some public controversy, local leaders point to both how successful it has been in drawing riders, as well as attracting investment to the downtown area and beyond. Read Executive Editor Scott Barker’s report starting on page 52.
