This class covers those birds that are easily observed in your yard that are not raptors, songbirds or hummingbirds.  Roadrunners, quail, doves and woodpeckers (and a few others) are the focus of this class, as we discuss their classification, identification and ecology. Ever wondered why woodpeckers don't get headaches? Or, which dove is important to healthy saguaro populations? This class will answer these questions and many more. Join Jeff Babson of Sky Island Tours for a look at some of the Sonoran Desert's most visible and familiar birds.
