On Thursday, Oct. 19 at 6:30 p.m., join us at the Fox Tucson Theatre for “Redefining Journalism in the Post-Truth Era,” featuring an interview with the Executive Editor of The New York Times, Dean Baquet. This conversation is part of the 5th annual Downtown Series presented by the University of Arizona College of Social and Behavioral Sciences; the topic of this year’s series is “Truth and Trust in the Global Scene.”
In an age where the facts are up for grabs, The New York Times not only reports the news, but also frequently appears in the headlines for challenging government obfuscation and dishonesty. Join us for a one-on-one conversation with Executive Editor Dean Baquet on redefining journalism and safeguarding its integrity in these unprecedented times. Baquet will be interviewed by Nancy Sharkey, a professor of practice and associate director of the UA School of Journalism.
Reserve your free tickets at our Eventbrite page at Go to for details on all three conversations in the series.
